It is an ideal holiday location with 7 successive beaches (Central, Neos Cosmos, Firi Ammos, Calamitsi, Agios Nicolas, Lorentzou, Lagada – EU Blue Flag) spanning 5 kilometres with varying features to suit all tastes. The island boasts a series of other beaches within easy driving distance (e.g., Platia Ammos 3 km, Likodimou 10 km) and many others up to 20 km away.
Agia Pelagia offers a variety of restaurants, minimarket, cafes, and gift shops, only 7 km from the main village of Potamos with a wide offer of shops, restaurants, cashpoints (ATM), Super Markets and importantly very close to the Kythira State Hospital.
